CROSSVILLE — April 10, 1929—Feb. 6, 2013

Cora Evelyn Coffey, 84, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 6, 2013. Funeral services were held Feb. 8 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Pastor Ken Clayton officiated with special music by Allen Powell.

She was born April 10, 1929, in Lafollette, TN, the daughter of Robert and Bessie Boshers Miller. She was currently a member of Pine Eden Baptist Church and a former member and Sunday school teacher at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was also in charge of the Roane County Jr. Golf Association for many years. She had a tremendous love for all children and they loved her, as well. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Howard Coffey of Crossville; son, Stephen Coffey of Crossville; daughter, Cynthia Coffey of Crossville; brothers, Eugene Miller and wife, Rita, of Crossville, and Asro Miller and wife, Peggy of Oakdale; sister-in-law, Joyce Miller of Crossville; grandchildren, Leah Coffey, Melissa Coffey, Justus Hall and Megann Hall; and great-grandchild, Gabrielle Coffey.

Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Christopher Parsons was born March 14, 1927 ,in Crossville, TN. Charles went home to meet his Lord and Savior in his home surrounded by his loving family. The graveside service will be today, May 24, at 3 p.m. EDT at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ronnie Capes will perform the service. There will be no prior visitation.
