CROSSVILLE — June 13, 1925—July 6, 2012

Mrs. Dimple Marie Hodge, 77, a resident of the Daysville community of Rockwood, passed away July 6, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services were held July 9 from the chapel of Evans Mortuary, with Bro. Joe Martin officiating. Graveside services and interment followed in the Daysville Cemetery in Cumberland County, with Pastor John McCormick officiating.

She was born June 13, 1935, in Putnam County to Vetter Whittaker and Zonia Tayes Whittaker. Mrs. Hodge was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hodge; son, George Rickey Hodge; grandson, Adam Ray Kindred; sisters, Dolly Buckner and Notia Ceal Wise; and brothers, Vestal Whittaker, Dave Whittaker, George Whittaker and Charles Whittaker.

Survivors include her children, Diane Redwine and husband, Jimmy, of the Daysville community, Zonia Kindred and husband, Ronnie, of the Westel community, Tim Hodge and wife, Lisa of the Daysville community, Jill Henry of the Ozone community, Willie Hodge and wife, Laura, of the Daysville community and Kathy Sexton and husband, John, of the Westel community; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Freddie Whittaker of Crossville; sister, Wanda Rhoten of Cookeville; and several nieces and nephews.
