CROSSVILLE —
Nancy Kay Shute, 74, of Crossville, passed away April 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Dennis Burleson will officiate with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home.
She was born May 8, 1937, in Springboro, OH, the daughter of Pat and Mary Hildebrand Robinson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church in Crossville. She assisted her husband, Larry, in the running of the daily operation of Bluffton Golf Club in Bluffton, OH, before retiring to Cumberland County. She was also director of Arts and Crafts in Fairfield Glade and had worked with the Dayton Ohio Art Institute.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Shute, of Crossville; sons, David Shute, of Crossville, and Chris Shute and wife, Kelly, of Lake Lure, NC; daughter, Debbie Shute Eldred and husband, Rob, of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Jim Robinson and wife, Joanne, of Marysville, OH, and John Robinson of Mesa, AZ; and grandchildren, Bethaney Shute, James Shute, Kim Finke, Prairie Elam, Sarah Hicks, Matthew Hicks and Gabrielle Abbatiello; and great-grandchildren, DAniel Weron, Nathan Bishop, Savanna Elam, Donald Elam, Jeremiah Elam, Julia Newman, Jace Newman and Paxton Hicks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Shute; sister, Ann Cremonese; and brother, Bill Robinson.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
