CROSSVILLE —

July 13, 1928—Jan. 4, 2013

Claude Wyatt, 84, was born July 13, 1928, in Crossville, and passed away Jan. 4, 2013, in Crossville. Funeral services were held Jan. 7 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in the Mayland Cemetery. Long-time friend Mike Reagan officiated.

He worked for Avery Dennison in the shipping and receiving department and became a foreman there before retiring. Claude loved Tennessee football but his real love was softball and baseball. He was a catcher for the Mayland Bush League and played for Hill's Department Store. He was also an umpire for 30 years.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Wyatt and Craig and Kim Wyatt; daughter, Vickie and Wayne Flynn; grandchildren, Elijah Wyatt, Paite Wyatt, Adam Flynn, Brad and Shannon Flynn and Travis Massengill; and great-grandchild, Mitchell Wyatt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pate and Myrtle Maxwell Wyatt; wife, Anita Parsons Wyatt; daughter, Cindy Massengill; and brothers, Andrew and Mitchell Wyatt.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
