CROSSVILLE — April 22, 1934―Dec. 6, 2012

William Donald Garrett, 78, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 6, 2012. Funeral services were held Dec. 9, from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Garrett officiated with burial in Crossville City Cemetery.

He was born April 22, 1934, in Pickett County, TN, the son of Asberry and Alma Lou Jones Garrett. He was retired as a sales representative with LP Shanks and was also a member of Meridian Baptist Church.

He had a keen interest in old cars and loved working on them. Building and fixing things was something else he enjoyed as he was considered to be an excellent carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Garrett of Crossville; sons, William Donald Garrett II and his wife, Rebecca, of Akron, OH, and Jack Raymond Garrett of Crossville; daughters, Tracy Lea Riddings and Teresa Marie Garrett, both of Crossville; brother, Bob Garrett and his wife, Frances, of Crossville; special nephew and niece, Mike Garrett and Jan Madden; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. Garrett, and sisters, Mildred Orme and Betty Jean Garrett.

Pallbearers were Danny Jones, Jerry Ray, Lee Wayne Cole, Hubert Monday, Dewayne Massiongale and Joel Green.

Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
