CROSSVILLE — Sept. 6, 2012

Clyde Litton Potter, 77, of Ocean Gate, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 6, 2012, after a long illness. Services for Clyde were held Sept. 12 in Toms River, NJ.

The son of Floyd and Arbania Potter in Crossville, he moved to Ocean Gate in 1966.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy, and three sons, Kevin and wife, Andrea, Timmy and Kenneth. Also surviving are two sisters, Aileen of Sneedsville, TN, and Willodean of Dillon, MT; and two brothers, Winfred and JH, both of Crossville.

Clyde proudly served in the Army from 1958-'60. Retiring from Ciba Geigy after 25 years, he later worked at Central Regional High School for 12 years. Clyde will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, his pride in his sons and his love for his precious grandchildren — Zachary, Samantha and Zoe. He was also known as a loyal Dallas Cowboy fan.

Clyde was a true "Southern gentleman." He was always first to volunteer to help others. He was a lifetime member of the First Aid Squad, an honorary member of the Veterans Association, and a Planning Board official, all in Ocean Gate. His friendliness and many kindnesses will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Daniel Luke Gibbons (Cadillac), 58, of Crossville, passes away May 6, 2013, at Tennessee Veteran Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home May 9, with Bro. Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

Billy Vaughn Barnwell, 51, of Crab Orchard, TN passed away on May 10, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center. The family will receive friends today, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Visitation was held May 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. The Rev. Bill Harvey and the Rev. James Arland Anderson officiated. Burial will be private.
