Jimmy Franklin Brown Sr., 64, of Crossville, passed away Oct. 3, 2012. Funeral services were held Oct. 6 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Potter officiating. Interment was in Browntown Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 6, 1948, in Crossville, the son of the late Alvin Benton and Margaret Louise (Campbell) Brown.
Mr. Brown worked in construction and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by his wife, Creda (Rector) Brown, of Crossville; daughter, Wanda Dodson, of Crossville; son, Jimmy "Bubby" Brown Jr., of Crossville; brothers, Mitchell Lyle Brown and Sammy Ray Brown, both of Crossville; sisters, Martha Marsh, of Crossville, and Selma Jean Lawson, of Sparta; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Brown, Lester Brown and Gene Brown, and great-granddaughter, Candace Davis.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Brown Jr., Mitchell Brown, Jeremy Dodson, Tom Blaylock, Sammy Brown, Adam Davis, Brad Brown and Wendel Brown.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
