CROSSVILLE — June 4, 1952—Jan. 28, 2013

Donnie Joe Rector Sr., 60, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 28, 2013. Funeral services were held Feb. 1 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. David Cobb officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

He was born June 4, 1952, in Crossville, the son of Joseph Rector and Evelyn (Davidson) Lanquist.

Mr. Rector worked as a heary equipment operator. He was a member of the Crossville Elks Lodge and a member of Monterey Wesleyan Church. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Wright) Rector, of Crossville; sons, Adam Hall of North Dakota and Matthew Rector of Crossville; daughters, Lisa Ann Slaven of Jamestown, Christy Lynn Lewis of Montana, Casey Cain of Indiana, Alicia Murphy of Crossville and Cindy Rector of Crossville; mother and step-father, Evelyn and Edd Lanquist of Crossville; brothers, Terry Goss of Crossville, Ronnie Rector, Mike Rector, Tim Rector, Scott Rector and Doug Rector, all of Indiana; sisters, Kathy Lynch of Indiana, Tammy Rector and Debbie Rector, both of Florida, Jo Ann Thatcher of Ohio, Jenna Rector and Kaylee Rector, both of Indiana, and Allison Lanquist; and 11 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rector; brother, Chris Goss; and sister, Cindy Presley.

Pallbearers were Terry Goss, Ronnie Rector, Mike Rector, Tim Rector, George Robinson and Chris Robinson.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends today, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Visitation was held May 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. The Rev. Bill Harvey and the Rev. James Arland Anderson officiated. Burial will be private.
