CROSSVILLE — Sept. 25, 1943—Jan. 25. 2013

Mitchell Lyle Brown, 69, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 25, 2013, in Tampa, FL. Funeral services were held Jan. 31 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Potter officiating.

He was born Sept. 25, 1943, in Pleasant Hill, the son of the late Alvin Benton and Margaret Louise (Campbell) Brown

Mr. Brown was a rock mason and a member Browns Chapel Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue (Rector) Brown of Zephyrhills, FL; daughter, Loretta Joanna Scott of Zephyrhills, FL; sons, Wendell Adrian Brown of Madisonville, NC, and Thurman Mitchell Brown of North Carolina; brother, Sammy Brown of Crossville; sisters, Martha Marsh Armstrong of Crossville and Selma Lawson of Eastland, TN; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is prececed in death by brothers, Larry Brown, Gene Brown, Jimmy Brown Sr. and two infant brothers and two infant sisters.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends today, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Burial will be private.
