CROSSVILLE — Jan. 13, 1933—Feb. 11, 2013

Marcia Kay (Tucker) Seppala, 80, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Feb. 11, 2013, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jenny Barnes officiating.

She was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Eugene and Elsa (Vaugh) Amidon.

Mrs. Seppala was a loving wife and mother and devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church and Via de Cristo. She was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dearborn, MI, and a graduate of Dearborn High School in 1951. She married Jim Seppala March 17, 1983, and was general manager for Franklin Park Towers in Southfield, MI. She retired from Hitachi in 1997 and moved to Fairfield Glade, TN.

Marcia loved Bridge and played in many groups. She also golfed and was active in Hospice, Sociables Dance Club, Ladies Club, Book Club and a number of committees at her church. She had a close relationship with God and she never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone. She will be missed by her many friends.

She is survived by her husband, James Seppala of Fairfield Glade; sons, Britt Hollis of Michigan and David Seppala of Michigan; daughters, Holli Hollis of Michigan and Katheryn Mischler of Ohio; sister-in-law, Peggy Tucker of Michigan; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gene Tucker.
