CROSSVILLE — July 10, 1932—Dec. 26, 2012

Vinston Threet, 80, of Crossville, passed away at his home Dec. 26, 2012. The family received friends Dec. 28 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Masonic Prayer. Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with burial in Slate Spring Cemetery. Bishop Jerry Hassler officiated.

He was born July 10, 1932, to William Harrison and Mary Jane Winningham Threet in Wilder, TN. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter, enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to church and spending time with family and friends. His hobby was breeding and raising dogs.

Vinston is survived by his wife, Frances Threet; sons, Darrell Glenn Threet and William Toy Threet (Carol); grandchildren, Andrew Lee Patton (Kelly), Kayla Threet and Kelsey Threet; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Frances Patton, Taylor Leigh Patton, Jake O'Brien and Kayla Ann O'Brien; brother, Walter Threet; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benton, Clinton and Denton Threet; sister, Christine Emory; and stepson, Morris Albert Patton.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Vinston's name to Alzheimer's Association.

Pallbearers were Andy Patton, Ben Reed, Kenny Threet, Mark Threet, Eugene Adams, and Doug Randall.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Daniel Luke Gibbons (Cadillac), 58, of Crossville, passes away May 6, 2013, at Tennessee Veteran Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home May 9, with Bro. Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

Billy Vaughn Barnwell, 51, of Crab Orchard, TN passed away on May 10, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center. The family will receive friends today, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Visitation was held May 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. The Rev. Bill Harvey and the Rev. James Arland Anderson officiated. Burial will be private.
