CROSSVILLE — Oct. 14, 1947—Feb. 16, 2013

Billy Wayne Dishner, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away Feb. 16, 2013, at Community Hospital East. A visitation for family and friends was held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home Feb. 19. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Kingston Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Bartlett will officiate.

He was born Oct. 14, 1947, in Bristol, TN, the son of Paris Smith Dishner and Virgie Goode Barnes. On Sept. 17, 2000, he married Nancy Zeigler at the Kingston Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Dishner; daughters, Kayla Marie Dishner and Mary (Fereez) Mohammad; sister, Margaret (Mike) LonCaric; half-brothers, Joe Eldridge, Ronnie Eldridge, Paul Eldridge and Tim Eldridge; father-in-law, Don Zeigler; sister-in-law, Mary Jane (Mike) Barnard; brothers-in-law, Robert D. (Sandy) Smith, Tom Zeigler and Steven (Vicki) Zeigler; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to his 10-year-old daughter, Kayla.

The graveside service will be today, May 24, at 3 p.m. EDT at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ronnie Capes will perform the service. There will be no prior visitation.
