Robert “Bob” Rose, 68, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 20, 2013. Funeral services were held Feb. 23 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in New Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. J.C. Hood and Bro. Joey Davis officiated. Special music was by Brenda Miller.
He was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Cumberland County, the son of Donald and Inez Morgan Rose. He was retired as a truck driver which was an occupation he greatly enjoyed. He was also a member of Community Independent Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam. He loved camping, hunting and fishing. His grandchildren and family were the most special part of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rose of Crossville; mother, Inez Rose of Crossville; son, Wayne Rose and wife, Jennifer, of Crossville; daughter, Regina Nail and husband, Adam, of Crossville; sister, Elaine Dunbar and husband, Keith, of Crossville; grandchildren, Ashley Elmore, Austin Rose, Ethan Rose, Garret Winn and Mason Winn; sister-in-law, Mary Rose; and neice, Rachel Dunbar.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Austin and Roy Rose, and sisters, Linda, Barbara and Shirley Rose.
Pallbearers were Bruce Rose, Brian Bowman, Ed Rose, Jerry Norrod, Brian Burgess and Alan Bowman. Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Christopher Parsons was born March 14, 1927 ,in Crossville, TN. Charles went home to meet his Lord and Savior in his home surrounded by his loving family. The graveside service will be today, May 24, at 3 p.m. EDT at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ronnie Capes will perform the service. There will be no prior visitation.
