CROSSVILLE — Oct. 13, 1919—March 1, 2013

Mrs. Frances Oakes Golliher, 93, of Rockwood, passed away March 1, 2013, at The Renaissance Terrace in Harriman. The family received friends March 4 at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, with graveside services and interment following in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Nelson officiated.

She was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Shakerag, TN, to George Dexter and Maggie Jo Hall Oakes. Mrs. Golliher was member of Mt. Vernal Baptist Church in Westel, TN. Along with her love of the Lord, the church was her life.

Mrs. Golliher was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Golliher; son, Blayne Golliher; brothers, Glen Oakes and Beecher Oakes; and sister, Dorothy Grant.

Survivors include daughter-in-law, Barbara Golliher of Rockwood; grandson, Jeff Golliher and wife, Dee, of Rockwood; granddaughter, Arlene McCarter and husband, Stan, of Sevierville; great-granddaughter, Jamie Poland and husband, Matt, of Harriman; great-grandsons, Kelly McCarter of Sevierville and Logan McCarter of Sevierville; stepgrandson, Rustin Grayson of Rockwood; sisters, Bonnie Nelson of Rockwood, Jewell Butler of Rockwood and Pauline Delius of Joliet, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Vernal Baptist Church, Westel, TN.

Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Burial will be private.
