CROSSVILLE — May 11, 1947 — Oct. 1, 2012

Ronald Burns, 65, of Crossville, passed away Oct. 1, 2012 at Cumberland Medical Center. Funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Family received friends from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday. Burial was in Lantana Cemetery. Pastor Mike Kerley officiated. The Honor Guard provided full military honors and served as pallbearers.

Ronald was born on May 11, 1947, in Hawkins County, TN. He served in the United States Army. He was self employed, working with heat and air units. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Burns; son, Brian Burns and wife, Michelle; daughter, Rhonda Kemmer and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samantha, Gage, Angeli, Chris and Todd; great-grandchild, Ethan; and brother, Joe Burns.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Pauline Williams Burgess, and stepfather, Alva Burgess.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the United States Military Honor Guard.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Burial will be private.
