Mr. Henry Atkins, 94, of Livingston, passed away March 2, 2013, at his home. Funeral services were held March 5 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Maxson officiating. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine, TN.
He was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Grimsley, the son of the late Thomas Franklin and Armilda Brown Atkins.
He was assistant manager at a builders supply company and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Nettie Mae Campbell Atkins and Hazel Choate Ferrell Atkins; brothers, Ray, Merville, Amon and Tillmon Atkins; and sisters, Minnie Wakefield, Lola Cobb and Mary Jane King.
He is survived by his son, Henson Atkins of Crossville; stepson, Wayne and Denise Ferrell of Livingston; grandchildren, Lora Deck, Trudie Langford, James Ferrell and Jennifer Walker; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gary and Rodney Cravens, Tyler McCullar, Kalin McCullar, Brian Errick and James Ferrell.
Speck Funeral Home of Livingston was in charge of arrangements.

The family received friends Tuesday, June 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. EDT at Evans Mortuary, with funeral service following at 7 p.m. President Charles Watkins officiated.
