Dorothy Lawson

CROSSVILLE — Aug. 22, 1929—Nov. 27, 2012

Dorothy Danson Lawson, 83, of Crossville, passed away Nov. 27, 2012, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. Funeral services were held Dec. 1 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Terry Swaw officiating. Interment was in Mayland Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Canada, the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Margaret (Leslie) Brackstone. Mrs. Lawson was retired from Hill's Department Store and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Allen and husband, Bobby, of Crossville; sons, Hal Danson and wife, Kim, of Sparta, Mike Danson and wife, Sandee, and Mark "Scratch" Danson and wife, Joan, all of Crossville; sister, Marjorie Petty of England; and brother, Raymond Brackstone of Canada. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Lawson; sister, Betty Franklin; brother, Leslie Brackstone; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Danson.

Pallbearers were Josh Danson, Casey Allen, Brisco Walker and Mark Bernabei.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
