Frances Burney

Frances (Morgan) Burney, 81, of Westland, MI, passed away Sept. 7, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 11 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Arthur Morgan officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Burney was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Clifty, TN, the daughter of Alfred and Ida (Simpson) Morgan.
She was a meat cutter.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Larry Sullivan of Westland, MI; grandson, Lance Sullivan and wife Jackie of Westland, MI; granddaughter, Kelly Fountaine and husband Mike of Hancock, MI; great-grandchildren, Christian and Irelyn Sullivan of Westland, MI, Stephen Pollard, Gregg and Krysta Bykkonenof of Hancock, MI; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Martin Tuck of Akron, OH, Myrna and Robert Barry of Murfreesboro and Dorothy and Willard Rhymer of Conway, SC; brothers and sister-in-law, Bro. Arthur Morgan of Walkerton, NC, Kenneth Morgan of Crossville and Lane and Liz Morgan of Griffin, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Mayton; sisters, Gennevia, Lowonna and Pricilla Morgan; and brothers, Winfred, Coleman, Kelyse, Haskill and Lesly Morgan.
Pallbearers were Larry Sullivan, Lance Sullivan, Kenneth Morgan, Spencer Miller, Robert Barry and Charles Tuck.

Christine Christopher
Nov. 3, 1925 — Sept. 7, 2006
Christine (Griffin) Christopher, 80, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 7, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 8 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Hank Jones officiating. A graveside service was held Sept. 9 at Crossville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Christopher was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Davidson, TN, the daughter of Robert Lee and Lillie Mae (Hood) Griffin.
She worked many years as a food worker. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Ford and Pat Jared of Sparta; sons, Harold Christopher, Bobby Christopher and Terry Christopher, all of Crossville, and Marvin Christopher of Crab Orchard; sisters, Willadene Bilbrey, Camilla Hedgecoth and Lois Maxwell, all of Crossville; brother, Walter Griffin of Middlesboro, KY; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Francis Evin Christopher; son, Jimmy Evin Christopher; grandsons, Robert Litton Christopher and James Richard Christopher; great-grandson, Zachary Isaiah Christopher; sisters, Geraldine Byrge, Violet Griffin and Lorene Griffin; and brothers, R.C. Griffin, Richard Griffin and Junior Griffin.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Buddy Christopher, Frank Christopher, Marc Christopher, Dinky Christopher, Travis Christopher, Scottie Baldwin, Christopher Jared, Cody Christopher and Jordon Jared.

James A. Horn
March 25, 1930 — Sept. 9, 2006
James "Jim" A. Horn, 76, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Sept. 9, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at Fairfield Glade Community Church, with Dale Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the church columbarium.
Mr. Horn was born March 25, 1930, in Toledo, OH, the son of Alvie and Carmen Rone Horn.
He lived a rich, full life. He was president of the Fisherman's Club, an exalted ruler of the local Elks, president of the local Shriners (Alhambra), member of the Masons, member of the American Legion, past president of High Noon and a member of the Jones Boys and Gnu golf groups. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, animals and long road trips (especially in his truck). Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Barbara Freidel Horn of Fairfield Glade; sons, James Michael (Loung) Horn of Findlay, OH, Raymond J. Breidenbach of Marysville, OH and Steven J. (Stephanie) Breidenbach of Arlington, OH; daughters, Deborah Lynn Horn of Sandy, UT, Toni L. Snodgrass of Bowling Green, OH and Tammy L. (Audie) Boggs of Orange Park, FL; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Katie, Christina, Blaise, Tyler, Paige, Nathan, Hannah, Briar and Tucker; brother, Kenneth Horn of Grand Rapids, MN; and aunt, Loretta Loughridge of Winter Haven, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Katherine L. Naser

Katherine "Katie" Louann Naser, infant daughter of Amanda Nicole Squires and Mark Robert Naser of Crossville, passed away Sept. 5, 2006. A graveside service was held Sept. 8 at Crossville City Cemetery, with Bro. Ralph Reagan officiating.
She was born June 14, 2006 in Crossville.
In addition to her parents, she was survived by her sister, Elizabeth Squires of Crossville; brother, Robert Naser of Crossville; grandparents, Carol Piper of Crossville, Valerie Hupp of Jamestown and Randy Hupp of Jamestown; and great-grandparents, Myrtle Shirley of Parker, PA, Betty Venus of Nashville and James Venus of Nashville.

Will L. Wyatt

Will Lee "Bud" Wyatt, 90, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 6, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 9 at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Mayo officiating. Interment was in Smith County Memorial Gardens in Carthage, TN.
Mr. Wyatt was born Nov. 17, 1915, in Carthage, TN, the son of Comp and Vera (King) Wyatt.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Crossville and a veteran of World War II. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Louise L. (Leftwich) Wyatt of Crossville; daughter, Sharon Wyatt of Crossville and Sherman Oakes, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Nancy Wyatt of Anaheim, CA; brothers, Fred King Wyatt of Carthage and Jerald Wyatt of Huntsville, AL; and sister, Virginia Plummer of Cookeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were nephews James Wyatt, Fred Wyatt and Bruce Plummer, Jim Lawson, Jerry Phillips and Jere Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe and Mary McNutt, Harvey and Eleanor Johnson, Carol Griffin, Cleta and Bud Steele, Ruth Phillips, Stan and Gladys Douple, Dean and Juanita Gilbert, Louise Keaton, Marie Carr, Margie Lewis and Jack and Louise Cook.

Our beautiful angel, Lou Ella (Turner) Kemmer, 70, went home to be with the Lord May 18, 2012, after an incredible and courageously fought battle over the past several months. The family celebrated her life May 21 in her home church, the Church of God on Sparta Hwy., where she raised her family. Bro. Gene Burgess officiated the service. She was laid to rest at Grassy Cove United Methodist Cemetery.
