Marjorie K. Baltimore

Dec. 30, 1953 — June 9, 2007

Marjorie Kay Baltimore, 53, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Crossville, passed away June 9, 2007. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Crossville City Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Mayo officiating. The family will be at the home of Sue and Doug Satterlee, Cravens Dr., after the services.

Ms. Baltimore was born Dec. 30, 1953, in Crossville, the daughter of William Baltimore and Polly (Swafford) Bryant.

Survivors include her mother, Polly (Swafford) Bryant of Greenville, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Blake Monson of Summerville, SC; brother, William Baltimore of Greenville, SC; aunts and uncles, Mary Helen Callahan of Crossville, Sue and Doug Satterlee of Crossville, Gracie and Tom Burton of Atlanta, Randy and Nina Swafford of Crossville and Tom Baltimore of Atlanta; niece, Polly Jo Monson of Chicago, IL; nephews, Blake Monson of Columbia, SC, and Christopher Baltimore of Charlotte, NC; and a host of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Baltimore; sister, Tracy Bryant; and grandparents, White and Shug Swafford and W.C. and Elizabeth Baltimore.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.



Donald R. Boatman

Jan. 7, 1943 — June 9, 2007

Donald Ray Boatman, 64, of Gainesboro, passed away June 9, 2007. Funeral services were conducted June 13 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Sam Woods officiating.

Mr. Boatman was born Jan. 7, 1943, in Crossville, the son of James C. and Hattie N. Breeding Boatman.

He was a maintenance man, certified in heating and air conditioning services, and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed riding horses.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Allen (David Jones) of Gainesboro and Kimberly Linder (Gerry) of Jamestown; grandchildren, Army PFC Justin Boatman Allen (Vicki), Joseph Allison, Jonathan Carter and Kallie Carter; great-grandchild, Acelyn Owens; brother, Robert Boatman (Treva) of Monterey; and sister, Irene Whitaker (Bethel) of Smyrna.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.



Elizabeth R. McNamee

June 10, 2007

Elizabeth R. (Bailey) McNamee, 65, a resident of Crossville since 1996, passed away June 10, 2007. No services are planned at this time.

Mrs. McNamee was born in Indiana but lived many years in the Chicago suburbs where she met her husband of 40 years, Richard McNamee.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Carrie McNamee of Illinois; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Mike Nowak of Florida, Margaret McNamee of Crossville and Lisa and Andy O'Connor of Crossville, grandchildren, Candice and Sarah Nowak, Katherine, Destiny and Joshua McNamee and Thomas and Emily O'Connor; great-grandson, Kaden Ray McNamee; sisters, Margaret Bailey and Eleanor Bailey of Indiana; brothers and sister-in-law, William and Laura Bailey and John Bailey, also of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Katherine Bailey; son, Richard; daughter, Dawn; and great-grandson, Toby Wayne McNamee.

The family has respectfully asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the House of Hope.

Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.

    Funeral services for Velma Short Phillips, 89, of Crossville, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cumberland Fellowship Church in Crossville. Pastor Hank Jones will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. The family will receive friends at the church, at 1640 West Ave., Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m.

    Daniel Lewis Tuttle Sr., 72, of Crossville, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, at his home in Crossville. Funeral services were held Feb. 6, 2012, from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Matthews and Bro. Charles Presley officiating. Interment will be in Hyder Cemetery.
