Willetta G. Barnett
Dec. 5, 1927 — June 8, 2007
Willetta Glyn Barnett, 79, of Crossville, passed away June 8, 2007. Funeral services were held June 11 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Langham officiating. Burial was in the Spring City Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnett was born Dec. 5, 1927, in Bernie, MO, the daughter of Orville Glyn and Ruby Elizabeth Parsons Grimes.
She was retired as a nurse technician. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Spring City, where she was also a member of the church choir. She loved to quilt with her specialty being yo-yo quilts and cathedral window quilts.
Survivors include her son, Samuel Dale Terry and wife Peggy of Walled Lake, MI; stepsons, Bud Barnett and wife Debbie of Fenton, MI and Rob Barnett and wife Nancy of Walled Lake, MI; daughters, Carol Glyn Jones and husband James of Crossville and Jean Lavonne Cassar of Plymouth, MI; stepdaughters, Katrina and husband Ron of Hazel Park, MI and Patricia also of Hazel Park; brother, Bobbie Carl Grimes and wife Janice of Dothan, AL; sisters, Betty Carson of Clarkston, MI and Joan Adams of Riverside, FL; grandchildren, Frank Cassar Jr., Anthony Cassar, Jeannie Cassar, Maria Cassar, Carol Louise Terry and Regina Lavonne Terry; and great-grandchild, Vincent Cassar. Surviving among her beloved step-grandchildren are Scott, Lisa, Kim, Kelly and Rob, also including a host of great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eual Merlin Barnett; brother, Orville Junior Grimes; and son-in-law, Frank John Cassar.
Pallbearers were Robert E. Barnett, Anthony Cassar, Merlin Barnett, Robert M. Barnett, Rurel Barnett and Steve Tuttle.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.

Joseph G. Coleman Sr.
Sept. 19, 1936 — June 10, 2007
Joseph (Joe) G. Coleman Sr., 70, of Crossville, went home to be with our Lord Sunday morning, June 10, 2007 (birthday of his wife, Grace). The family is honoring Joe's wishes by not having any funeral services.
Mr. Coleman was born Sept. 19, 1936, to Roger and Elizabeth Coleman.
He was raised in Stephensburg, New Jersey. He married Grace Herpich on January 17, 1959 in New Jersey and she preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 2005.
He and his family moved to Tennessee in 1977. He was a mechanic by trade and handyman by opportunity. He enjoyed working with his hands and helping his family and friends with any project they had going on. His friends remember him as a great "buddy." His family remembers him as a loving, concerned dad, pop, uncle and brother always ready to lend a hand however he could. Joe contributed much to the lives of many, and he will be missed.
Survivors include his son, Joseph G. Coleman, Jr.; daughter, Kathryn E. Coleman and grandson, Ronald L. Coleman of Crossville; son, Wayne E. Coleman and wife Tammy, of Smyrna, TN; son, Lee A. Coleman, wife Lori, granddaughter, Brenna Coleman and grandson, Maxwell Coleman, all of Franklin, TN. He has one surviving sister, Alice Sliker of Sandy Level, VA.
Memorial contributions can be made to a favorite nonprofit agency of the donor's choice.
Barbara C. Reynolds
April 23, 1925 — June 29, 2007
Barbara Catherine Reynolds, 82, of Fairfield Glade, passed away June 29, 2007 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
Mrs. Reynolds was born April 23, 1925, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Otto Daniel Herb and Ella Carver Herb.
She enjoyed doing needlepoint, golfing and was an accomplished water skier.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Earle J. Reynolds; son, Craig W. Reynolds of Longmont, CO; daughter, Mary Lou Reynolds of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Cameron Reynolds, Christen Reynolds, Collin Reynolds, Stephen Reynolds, C.J. Reynolds and Benjamin Reynolds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Herb; and sister, Elizabeth Louise Church.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
Jackie R. Sells
Aug. 15, 1953 — June 28, 2007
Jackie Ray Sells, 53, of Crossville, passed away June 28, 2007. Funeral services were conducted July 1 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike McCoy officiating. Special music was provided by Charlie Morgan. Burial was in Hale's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Sells was born Aug. 15, 1953, in Livingston, the son of Christine Sells and Hershell Sells.
He was Crossville's first certified animal control warden and also served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Crossville First Free Will Baptist Church and really enjoyed restoring old cars, collecting coins and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Wood Sells; son, Jeremy Sells; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Sells and Tim Nealon; mother, Christine Sells; grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Ryan, Dylan, Laura Beth and Heather; brother, Jerry Sells; and sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Chester Parks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hershell Sells; his grandparents; and nephew, Jerry Wayne Sells Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Nealon, Roger Snyder, Billy Wood, Chester Parks, Randal Hankins and Marty McCoy.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Pleasant, Jerry Eller and "Red" Maron.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Our beautiful angel, Lou Ella (Turner) Kemmer, 70, went home to be with the Lord May 18, 2012, after an incredible and courageously fought battle over the past several months. The family celebrated her life May 21 in her home church, the Church of God on Sparta Hwy., where she raised her family. Bro. Gene Burgess officiated the service. She was laid to rest at Grassy Cove United Methodist Cemetery.
