Aug. 23, 1933 — July 29, 2007

Edgar A. McMahon, 73, of Fairfield Glade, passed away July 29, 2007. Memorial services were conducted Aug. 2 at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church.

Mr. McMahon was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Marquette, MI, the son of Harley William and Sadie Lehto McMahon.

He was retired as a service technician with Sears and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during Korea. He was also a member of Fairfield Glade Untied Methodist Church and Fairfield Sportsman's Club.

Survivors include his wife, Jean McMahon of Fairfield Glade; daughter, Susan McMahon of Whitemore Lake, MI; and sister, Eleanor Brewer of Flowerville, MI.

Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services for Velma Short Phillips, 89, of Crossville, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cumberland Fellowship Church in Crossville. Pastor Hank Jones will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. The family will receive friends at the church, at 1640 West Ave., Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m.

Larwill St., in Wooster, OH, Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.
