CROSSVILLE — Jan. 31, 1932—Jan. 27, 2013

Noble Eugene "Gene" Hill, 80, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 27, 2013, at Cumberland House in Crossville. Funeral services were held Jan. 31 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Jack Lawson and Bro. Roland Smith officiating.

He was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Cumberland County, the son of the late Walter Lloyd and Katie (Maxwell) Hill.

Mr. Hill was retired from Bowater Southern Paper Co. and a member of Central Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Connie (Barnwell) Hill; son, Richard Hill and wife, Jolanda Jansma, of Maryville; stepsons, Todd Smith of Harriman and Ron Smith of Murfreesboro; stepdaughter, Carla Yarbro of Decaturville; brothers, William T. Hill (Reiko) of Bath, ME, and Jack G. Hill (Mae) of Mt. Juliet; sister, Dorothy Farley (Gene) of Nashville; aunt, Katherine "Kitty" Ryan of Crossville; sister-in-law, Charlene Hill of Crossville; and grandchildren, Carissa and Erik Hill, Teea Smith and Jake and Johnathan Ganter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond L. Hill.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Daniel Luke Gibbons (Cadillac), 58, of Crossville, passes away May 6, 2013, at Tennessee Veteran Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home May 9, with Bro. Charles Presley officiating. Interment was in Algood City Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Veteran's Honor Guard.

Billy Vaughn Barnwell, 51, of Crab Orchard, TN passed away on May 10, 2013 at Cumberland Medical Center. The family will receive friends today, May 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Haley's Grove Cemetery.

Visitation was held May 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. The Rev. Bill Harvey and the Rev. James Arland Anderson officiated. Burial will be private.
