William Neal Passmore Sr., 77, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Dec. 2, 2012. Funeral services will be today, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 7, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Roller-Citizen Funeral Home in West Memphis, AR, with burial in Crittenden Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
He was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Dallas, TX, the son of Neal R. and Mable Amonette Passmore. He was retired from the United States Marines, obtaining the rank of master sergeant, and was also a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Elks and the VFW as well as serving as a leader in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Some of his favorite hobbies were reading, hunting, playing poker and watching movies.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Passmore; son, William N. Passmore Jr.; daughter, Carol S. Gleason; brother, Joe Guin; sister, Betty Passmore Ferguson; nephew, Thomas Lee Hicks; niece, Victoria H. Williamson; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Elizabeth Passmore Jackson.
