CROSSVILLE — Dec. 7, 2012

Pearl Marie Herring, 83, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 7, 2012, at Cumberland Medical Center. A memorial service was held Dec. 11 at Main Street Church of Christ. Barry Kennedy officiated the service.

Marie loved the Lord, her family, friends and neighbors in Willowwood, where she had lived the past six years. She was married to "Red" Herring for 55 years. Her passions in life were her grandchildren, who filled her heart and life with love, joy and laughter, her church and mission work in India.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one of the following: Rampachodavaram/Tuni Mission Work in India, c/o Jack Honeycutt, Willette Church of Christ, 1586 Willette Rd., Red Boiling Springs, TN 37150; or to Crossville Church of Christ, 423 Main St., Crossville, TN 38555.

Marie is survived by son, Randall Lee Herring and wife, Kim; daughter, Sharon Richards and husband, Jeff; granddaughter, Jordan Herring; grandsons, Hogan Herring and Adam Martin; brothers, Bud Allen and wife, Trudy, and Wayne Allen and wife, Shirley; and sister, Dot Lil.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Sarah Girlie Turner Cook; husband, Addison "Red" Herring; and brother, Jimmy Allen.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
