James E. Brown

James Ernest Brown, 63, of Crossville, passed away April 22, 2008. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.



Mr. Brown was born June 28, 1944, in Overton County, the son of Joseph and Myrtle Brown.



He was a state Highway Department employee and a gardening specialist.



Survivors include his wife, Pam Bowman Brown of Crossville; sons, Dewayne Brown and Greg Bumbalough (Mitzi); stepchildren, Barbara Hall Newberry (Andrew) and Scottie Hall (Cristy); grandchildren, Ethan, Jordan, Isaac, Maggie, Emily, Priscilla, Roger and Trinity; brothers, Melvin Brown and Donald Brown of Rickman, Danny Brown of Nolensville, Billy Joe Brown of Cullman, AL and Doug Brown of Monterey; and sisters, Joyce Brown of Rickman, Carol Dunn of Baxter, Janice Burks of Hilham and Fannie Mae Harris of Cookeville.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Owen Junior Brown and Gary Carlos Brown.



Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
