Robert E. Sherrill

Robert Earl Sherrill, 57, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 4, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 7 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Thomas Hale and Bro. Eddie Kilgore officiating. Interment was in Linary Cemetery.



Mr. Sherrill was born May 11, 1951, in Crossville, the son of James Floyd and Lola Mae (Godsey) Sherrill.



He worked in maintenance at Deer Creek Golf Course and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.



Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane "Janie" (Netherton) Sherrill of Crossville; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Chris Miller and Angela Kilby, all of Crossville; son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Rosa Sherrill of Crossville; sisters, Jeannie Scarbrough of Crossville, Tootsie Sherrill Keys of Jackson and Mary Rose Henry of Crossville; brothers, Murel Sherrill, Beecher Sherrill and Johnny Sherrill, all of Crossville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Sherrill.



Pallbearers were Tommy Netherton, John Sherrill, Johnathan Tuttle, Tom Humphrey, Eugene Sherrill, Tim Brock, David Sherrill and Chuck Grams.



Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
