Gloria Mae (McCall) Martin, 80, a Lake Tansi resident for 25 years, passed away Sept. 19, 2008. She requested her body be donated to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center's College of Medicine.
Mrs. Martin was born May 5, 1928, in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Harold C. and Ivy (Painter) McCall.
She was a small woman with a big heart and will be missed by many. She never quit giving.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charles Benton Martin of Lake Tansi; daughter, Sandra of Arizona; son, Robert of North Carolina; and sister, June Francis of Texas.
In lieu of flowers or cards, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or your local hospice.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
