School lunch menus (Week of Oct. 8)

CROSSVILLE — MONDAY — Choice of one: low-fat hamburger patty on whole wheat bun, baked popcorn chicken, whole grain PB&J sandwich with Trix yogurt or chef salad with whole grain Goldfish crackers. Choice of two: sandwich trims, baked tator tots or steamed kernel yellow corn. Choice of one: sliced peaches in 100 percent juice, red apple wedges or 4 oz. 100 percent blue raspberry juice.

TUESDAY — Choice of one: baked chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese with whole grain breadsticks, PB&J whole grain pocket or breaded chicken salad with whole grain saltine crackers and croutons. Choice of two: spring mix garden side salad, creamy mashed potatoes or steamed green beans. Choice of one: diced pears in 100 percent juice, banana or 4 oz. 100 percent apple juice.

WEDNESDAY — Choice of one: low-fat cheese pizza, baked whole grain corn dog, PB&J whole grain pocket or southwestern breaded chicken salad with whole grain saltine crackers. Choice of two: spring mix garden side salad, baked potato smiles or steamed broccoli. Choice of one: unsweetened applesauce, fresh fruit mix (grapes, pineapple and cantaloupe) or 4 oz. 100 percent grape juice.

THURSDAY — Choice of one: beef and cheese whole grain tacos, deli turkey and cheese sandwich on Goldfish shaped whole wheat bread and crackers, PB&J whole grain pocket or chicken salad with whole grain saltine crackers. Choice of two: spring mix garden side salad, baby carrots and broccoli or creamy mashed potatoes. Choice of one: fruit cocktail in 100 percent juice, red grapes or 4 oz. 100 percent cherry juice.

FRIDAY — Choice of one: grilled chicken and bacon club sandwich on whole wheat bread, honey barbecue pork rib patty on whole wheat bun, whole grain PB&J sandwich with Trix yogurt or chef salad with whole grain saltine crackers and breadstick. Choice of two: sandwich trims, baked potato or pinto beans. Choice of one: sliced peaches in 100 percent juice, whole red apple or 4 oz. 100 percent orange juice.
