School lunch menus (Week of Nov. 12, 2012)

CROSSVILLE — MONDAY — Choice of one: low-fat hamburger patty on whole wheat bun, baked popcorn chicken, whole grain PB&J sandwich with Trix yogurt or chef salad with whole grain Goldfish crackers. Choice of two: sandwich trims, baked tator tots or steamed whole kernel corn. Choice of one: sliced peaches in 100 percent juice, red apple wedges or 4 oz. 100 percent blue raspberry juice.

TUESDAY — Choice of one: baked chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese made with whole grain rotini noodles and breadstick, PB&J whole grain pocket or breaded chicken salad with whole grain saltine crackers and croutons. Choice of two: spring mix garden side salad, creamy mashed potatoes or steamed green beans. Choice of one: diced pears in 100 percent juice or banana.

WEDNESDAY — Choice of one: low-fat cheese pizza, baked whole grain corn dog, PB&J whole grain pocket or southwestern breaded chicken salad with whole grain saltine crackers. Choice of two: spring mix garden side salad, baked potato smiles or steamed broccoli. Choice of one: unsweetened applesauce or fresh fruit mix (grapes, pineapple and cantaloupe).

THURSDAY — Choice of one: beef and cheese tacos, turkey and cheese sandwich on Goldfish-shaped whole wheat bread and whole grain cheddar Goldfish crackers, PB&J whole grain pocket or southwestern breaded chicken salad with whole grain saltine crackers. Choice of two: spring mix garden side salad, baby carrots and broccoli or creamy mashed potatoes. Choice of one: fruit cocktail in 100 percent juice or red grapes.

FRIDAY — Choice of one: roasted turkey, cornbread, dressing with gravy and whole grain roll, baked ham with whole grain roll, whole grain PB&J sandwich with Trix yogurt or chef salad with whole grain Goldfish crackers. Choice of two: creamy mashed potatoes, steamed Italian green beans, baked sweet potatoes with toasted marshmallows or 4 oz. vegetable juice blend. Choice of one: fresh cut pineapple, tangerine wedges or unsweetened applesauce.
