Cinemagic! Scheduled at Roane State Oct. 29-31

The Roane State Community College Concert Choir, Celebration Singers and Jazz Band, along with dancers from Arts in Motion, will perform selections from top movie soundtracks during Cinemagic! on Oct. 29-31.

The choral revue by Mac Huff will be held in the O'Brien theatre on Roane State's Roane County campus in Harriman. Show times are 7 p.m. on Oct. 29-30 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.

A $10 donation per person is suggested. Donations will primarily benefit the Concert Choir's spring tour to Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Cinemagic! will feature Hollywood hits from "That's Entertainment" to "Footloose" performed live on stage through music and dance.

Fans can compete in a karaoke contest during intermission of the Thursday, Oct. 29, show and the Friday, Oct. 30, show. Contestants must register before the concert and bring a CD with a song from a major motion picture. Only the first 10 entries will be chosen each night, and the audience will determine the winners.

Fans are invited to wear Halloween costumes to the Saturday, Oct. 31, show. Audience members will vote for their favorites during intermission.

For more information, contact Choral Director Brenda Luggie at (865) 354-3000, ext. 4236 or luggieb@roanestate.edu.
