The Palace Theatre will open its doors for an evening of musical variety on the first Saturday in October. You may know Terri Utsey from her many vocal performances with the Trackside Band and the Dillon Street Band. She has assembled an exceptional group of gifted musicians from our area and together they will be performing songs spanning genres from country to show tunes to gospel. Brian Bacon, Terry King, C.W. Pemberton, Dewayne Wagner, Tony Zarola and Wetwood Dalton will bring their special talents to the stage.
Brian Bacon is an award-winning conductor, singer and pianist. He is the director of Music Ministries at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade and also serves as the conductor/music director of the Cumberland County Community Band.
Terry King has played lead guitar for more than 40 years and will be showcasing his mastery of the steel guitar on October 6. He has performed with Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis and many other country legends.
Playing drums for over 45 years, C.W. Pemberton spent 15 of them on the road. He has played with successful artists like Cheech & Chong and Jimmy Buffett, as well as members of the Charlie Daniels Band. On the local front, he stays busy performing at many venues, including the Cumberland County Playhouse, as well as giving lessons on the drums.
Dewayne Wagner is an accomplished musician. In addition to playing guitar and bass, Dewayne possesses an impressive singing voice. He is a native of Cumberland County and began performing when he was only six years old. He currently plays with several groups in the area and, because of his talent and generous nature, has earned the respect of the local music community.
Tony Zarola started playing guitar at 12 years old and has been performing since he was 15. He plays a wide variety of music in his distinctive manner, including jazz, folk and blues. On October 6, he will perform a mixture of styles from ragtime to flamenco, as well as one of his original compositions.
Wetwood Dalton is a well-known, local comedian and singer. He is sure to put a smile on your face as he entertains with his wit and humor.
Terri Utsey has come to love performing at the Palace Theatre since her debut public appearance there in 2010. On October 6, she will once again bring her ability to sing all genres of music to that historic venue and is very proud to be joined by these accomplished musicians.

'Georgia Songbird' coming to Palace June 7 for First Friday performance
EG Kight, “the Georgia Songbird,” is bringing her Country-Flavored Southern-Fried Blues back to Crossville’s Palace Theatre. Kight’s 2011 First Fridays performance garnered rave reviews from all in attendance with many of those audience members requesting an encore performance. GRITS coming to Palace May 31
Highly acclaimed band GRITS From Dumplin Valley will perform at Historic Palace Theatre on May 31 beginning at 7 p.m. Chris Marion, longtime keyboardist for world famous Little River Band, will join GRITS. Chris sometimes performs with GRITS when not on the road with LRB. A rising young talent from Nashville, Shelby Terrell, will start things off with a solo show.
