Community Chorus looking for singers

CROSSVILLE — There is a group of fantastic singers right here in Cumberland County. Did you hear them at Stone Memorial High School performing with the Cumberland County Community Band for the Veterans Benefit Concert? Or, did you get to enjoy one of their three Christmas Concerts in early December?

Plans are now underway for the Spring season of rehearsals and concerts, and no one should miss this opportunity. Singers who would like to join this group should contact Director Marty Gibson at 484-3473 or 260-6055 to arrange an interview.

Rehearsals begin on Monday, Feb. 4, at 6 p.m., at the First Methodist Church in Crossville. For those who just love to hear really good choral singing, be sure to mark the calendar for the Spring concerts to be held on April 27, 28, or 29, 2013. Watch for more information as to time and place. The group is planning to present a scholarship again this year to a potential music student from the county, and support is most welcome.
