New faces, new set and new songs will be on stage for D-Squared (D2) Productions’ September show “Return of the Rat Pack and More!” Along with the music of Old Blue Eyes, Mr. Cool & the Candy Man, you may hear songs from other legendary crooners like Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdink and Perry Como. There will be a little bit of Marilyn Monroe as well as Judy Garland and Nancy Sinatra.
Joining long time stage veterans Dennis Donald and Patty Payne will be Terry Henderson and Jay David and newcomers Keith Walther and Ashley Krohn. We’re also hoping for a surprise quest! This show will bring back memories of a cherished era when voices of crooners such as Sinatra and Martin reigned supreme. You’ll not only enjoy the music but the on-stage banter as well.
Leading this production is “Mr. Entertainment”, Dennis Donald, co-founder of D2 who has been performing for over 30 years. Patty Payne is known and respected as Crossville’s first lady of theater. Terry Henderson, relatively new to the area, is quickly becoming know as Terry “the voice.” He debuted with D2 in the August production of "Back to Malt Shop Memories and Music" and wowed the audiences. Jay David has been performing for 70 years and, at age 82, is not ready to quit. He will amaze you! Keith Walther, new to this stage, has a styling likened to Tom Jones. Ashley Krohn, at only 19, has been performing for 12 years and her life-long dream is to become a professional singer. Ashley hails from Grand Rapids, MI.
