The Crossville audience of the Bryan Symphony Orchestra can learn more about the first subscription concert of the season during a preview luncheon that begins at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Palace Theatre.
BSO Concertmaster Wei Tsun Chang will lead a discussion about Mozart, Mendelssohn and Rossini, whose works will be featured during the BSO’s next performance.
Cost for the preview luncheon is $10 at the door, and reservations can be made by calling 484-6133 by Monday, Oct. 5.
The upcoming concert begins at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11, in Wattenbarger Auditorium, the concert hall of the Bryan Fine Arts Building on the Tennessee Tech University campus in Cookeville. Call the Bryan Symphony Orchestra Association office at (931) 525-2633 for ticket availability. Tickets are $28 for adults, $24 for seniors 65 and up, and $8 for students.
The Bryan Symphony Orchestra, a member of the League of American Orchestras, is the only professional symphony in a rural area of Tennessee. The Oct. 11 performance is sponsored by Regions Bank.
