The Pleasant Hill Community Church is fortunate to be able to have Nicole Begue and Nathaniel Hackmann from the Cumberland County Playhouse in concert at the church on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. Many have seen Camelot at the Playhouse and thrilled to
hear the beautiful voices of these artists in the familiar music of that show. They are now appearing in the musical version of A Wonderful Life, which will be showing throughout most of the Christmas season.
Hackmann, a San Francisco Opera baritone, was previously seen at CCP as “Emile” (“Some Enchanted Evening”) in South Pacific and will star as “Gaston” in the upcoming 2010 national tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Nicole Begue toured nationally in The Pirates of Penzance and sang “Guenevere” in Camelot, the role made famous by Julie Andrews.
The Nov. 29 program will feature a selection of songs from Broadway going back to the beginning of the 20th century, similar to one presented recently for the Fairfield Glade Homeowners Association. Please mark your calendars for this event, sponsored by the Music Committee of the Community Church.
