Legacy Pik-n-Barn to host fundraiser Nov. 28

On Nov. 28, the Legacy Pik-n-Barn in Crossville will host a special appreciation fundraiser for the continuing efforts at preserving the heritage, family ties and times of bluegrass music. The indoor stage will open at noon. Performances will include County Line with Tony Jones, Curtis Hicks and Ole-Tyme Strings, Bobby Hatfield, Bobby Griffith, Gene Horner and the Fiddle Shop Band, Lantana Drifters, the Chattanooga Hilltoppers, Walk-n Tradition with Rodney Worley, Sour-Down Bluegrass Band, Tori West with a clogging exhibition and the house band, the Back-TRAK'ers.

The donation of $5 (under 12 free) at the door will go to the Pik-n-Barn to help with continuing operation. The Ole-Kitchen will also be open for the entire event with plenty of concessions.

There will also be a cakewalk, door prizes and more.

For more information, contact Janice Burgess at 788-2751. The Pik-n-Barn is at 491 Allen Burgess Rd. off Hwy. 101 south of Crossville. Watch for the big yellow sign.

  • Big Band Sound to perform Feb. 11 for Fairfield Glade Valentine Dance

    The 21-member Big Band Sound will perform several favorite Valentine songs at its first dance of the new year Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center. Tickets for the event are $13.75 including tax per person and are available at the Community Center, 130 Stonehenge Dr. Dancing and listening is from 7 to 10 p.m.
