Panther Players present a spoof of spooks ‘Ghostcashers’ Oct. 26-27

CROSSVILLE — With October lurking around the corner and Halloween soon to raise its shadowy skull, what better time than now for the Panther Tales Players of Stone Memorial to perform their hilarious poltergeist capturing spoof, “Ghostchasers” by Tim Kelly.

This “Ghostbusters” parody hits the boards on Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27, at 7 p.m. in Stone Memorial High School’s auditorium for $5 general admission.

Our story takes place in the Hangtown Asylum for Extremely Tense People, where a poltergeist has taken up residence. This mischievous spirit causes no end of havoc with both the patients and the “normal” people as they get prodded, kicked, and generally treated badly while the lights flash like a disco and strange sounds inhabit the halls.

When Honch, the head Ghostchaser arrives with his entourage, things only get wilder.

For a delightful evening filled with fun, laughter, and an occasional scream for all ages, join the Panther Tales Players as they attempt to “catch that ghost.”
