Community Band announces 2013 season
The Cumberland County Community Band proudly announces the dates of their 2013 season sponsored by John and Elizabeth Gore. All concerts will take place at Stone Memorial High School in the auditorium and are all scheduled for Thursday evenings.

SSSB Christmas concert’s success allows donations
On Nov. 17, the Southern Stars Symphonic Brass (SSSB) gave two free concerts to the general public which were attended by record crowds. These concerts were a gift to the community as thanks for support to the SSSB from the business sponsors and ticket purchasers who have helped this outstanding ensemble be a successful addition to the culture of the Crossville area.

Texas Troubadours, Tommy Dee to host New Year’s party
Texas Troubadours from Nashville along with Tommy Dee, Phillip Turner, Regina Stephens, Walter Tollett and the Trackside Band, Tony Perry, Johnny Moore, Carl Tucker, The Swing A Billies, Ronnie Dale, Lynn Owlsey, and a Big Green Tractor will give Cumberland County a New Year's Eve Party to remember.

Enjoy an evening with Thomas Pandolfi
Just in time for holiday giving, PAART announces that tickets are now available for the first concert in its 2013 season at the Palace Theatre in downtown Crossville — Thomas Pandolfi in a program of piano pieces by Liszt and Chopin. On Friday, Jan. 4, noted pianist Pandolfi will bring down the house with such pieces as the "Hungarian Rhapsody" and the beloved "Leibestraum" by Franz Lizst, the always popular "Military Polonaise," "Fantasy-Impromptu" and "Four Etudes" by Chopin among many others.

CCP holding auditions for 2013 season
Crossville’s Cumberland County Playhouse starts its “Golden Anniversary Era,” recalling events and people who inspired and launched the rural theater in 1963-'65, with a new season of plays and musicals featuring one of the South’s first authorized professional productions of Les Misérables and much more.

Teen cabaret features CCP student performers
On Dec. 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m., the Cumberland County Playhouse will present an all-new teen cabaret, Facing the Future.

Community Band sets Christmas concert
The Cumberland County Community Band will present their annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Stone Memorial High School. The concert is free and open to the public.

Playhouse to hold auditions for Footloose
The Cumberland County Playhouse is pleased to announce open auditions for its upcoming production of Footloose: The Musical, which will be shown from February 1-24, 2013. The first rehearsal will be on Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 6-9 p.m. (scripts and music will be handed out at this time). The next rehearsal will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Footloose will be directed and choreographed by Leila Nelson (The Music Man).

TTU Tuba Ensemble takes Palace stage Friday
The Performing Arts Alliance of Rural Tennessee (PAART) is presenting a very special holiday performance Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Palace Theatre in Crossville for this December’s First Fridays event. They are bringing one of the most successful performing collegiate ensembles in history to the Palace stage to perform their “Christmas Tubas” program.
